H.O.P.E.S. is great for anyone who is expecting a child or raising a child who has not started kindergarten yet. This is a perfect resource for those who are:
> Expecting a child
> Parents of children who have not yet started kindergarten. Includes grandparents, aunts, uncles, foster parents and other caregivers as well.
> In need of support getting their child ready for school. Including tools to help with early literacy, math and science.
> In need of parenting support to help manage behavior, set rules and routines.
The requirements to participate in H.O.P.E.S. are:
> Must live in Dallas County
> Must have a child ages prenatal to five years’ old

AVANCE The AVANCE approach imparts parenting knowledge that directly impacts children’s development while enabling parents to achieve their own educational and professional goals. AVANCE’s renown Parent-Child Education Program instills a philosophy of nurturing care, wellness, and language development in caregivers as they embrace their role as their child’s first teacher and their home as first classroom.
Nurse-Family Partnership or NFP is a program that helps first-time mothers succeed. From helping you have a healthy pregnancy, to teaching you about child development, to encouraging you to complete your goals, your nurse home visitor will always be there for you so that you can be there for your baby.
Triple P Triple P is a parenting program, but it doesn’t tell you how to be a parent. It’s more like a toolbox of ideas. You choose the strategies you need. You choose the way you want to use them. It’s all about making Triple P work for you. Parent training classes focuses on strengthening parenting competencies and fostering parents’ involvement with their children.
Parents as Teachers or PAT, is for any family expecting a child or with children up to kindergarten age (age 5). PAT teaches parents about child development and gives parenting support. PAT helps to ensure that young children are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The program includes one-on-one home visits, monthly group meetings, developmental testing, and a resource network for families.
Period of Purple Crying The Period of PURPLE Crying is a new way to help parents understand this time in their baby's life, which is a normal part of every infant's development. The PURPLE program is designed to help parents of new babies understand a developmental stage that is not widely known. It provides education on the normal crying curve and the dangers of shaking a baby.
